Madurai-based lawyer removed from Bar rolls of TN, Pondy

The Enrolment Committee of Bar Council of Tamil Nadu today removed, a Madurai-based advocate, who continued to figure as a history sheeter, from its rolls with immediate effect.
R Balasubramanian, who continued to figure as History Sheeter as per police records since 1999, has been removed with immediate effect from the rolls of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and also Puducherry, the committee said.
The committee, comprising its Chairman A A Venkatesan and members K K S Jayaraman and V Karthikeyan, passed the orders today on a petition which brought to its notice the list of cases against Balasubramanian.
