Magisterial enquiry ordered into minor's molestation case

A magisterial enquiry has been initiated into the alleged molestation of a four-year-old nursery student within the school campus here, police said today.
The district magistrate Ranjan Kumar has ordered an enquiry into the molestation of a nursery student in Rajghat area, which would be conducted by joint magistrate Neha Prakash, police said.
The enquiry will be completed within 15 days, they added.
Meanwhile a meeting has been convened today by the District Magistrate with the school managers and principals of the area for ensuring safety of children, police said.
The officials from the education department will also be present in the meeting, they added.

A four-year-old nursery student was allegedly molested by a youth in the school premises in Rajghat area on Friday.
School manager Nihal Ahmad and principal Qazi Azizul were arrested in the case under Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO) and sent to jail yesterday.
A case was lodged in the matter and the school has been sealed.
