Maha announces life time achievement awards for Naik, Joshi

Maharashtra Government today announced Natvarya Prabhakar Panshikar Award and Annasaheb Kirloskar award to Ramkrishna Naik and Rajani Joshi respectively.
Both awards comprising cash prize of Rs five lakh each, citation and memento.
These awards are given for life time achievements in the field of theatre and contribution to musical plays, state Culture Minister Vinod Tawde said here today.
Naik, who heads the art section of Goa Hindu Association has produced plays like "Matsyagandha", "Akhercha Sawal", "Natsamarat" and "Raigadala Jevha Jaag Yete".
While Joshi has acted as the lead in musical plays like "Saubhadra", "Swayamwar"," Manapmaan" and "Ekach Pyala" among others.
