Maha CM asks Thane collector to act on illegal construction

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today directed the newly appointed Thane District Collector Mahendra Kalyankar to take "suitable action" on a complaint against an educational institute here which had indulged in an illegal construction.
The Chief Minister gave this direction to the Collector in a meeting held through video-conference as part of the 'Lokshahi Din' (Democracy Day), a release issued by Thane district administration said.
The meeting was also attended by Thane Additional Collector K V Fand, Deputy Collector Vikas Gajare and Resident Deputy Collector Vandana Suryavanshi and others, it said.
