"The Opposition has submitted a list of 72 corruption cases involving state ministers and also submitted proof, but Chavan has not taken any initiative to pursue these cases," Leader of the Opposition Eknath Kadse said.
He was addressing a press conference on the eve of the winter session of the state legislature.
"As many as 11 ministers are facing criminal cases. But Chavan is protecting the corrupt ministers, while trying to maintain his own image clean," he alleged.
The Opposition also alleged that Chavan was also not taking serious cognisance of the reports submitted by various committees, like Chitale Committee, Kelkar Committee and Sawant Committee and was neglecting issues in Vidarbha.
On the Anti-Superstition Bill, Khadse said, "We will support the Bill, but we want the government to clarify certain points on faith and superstition. We want a clear definition of these two issues."
Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Vinod Tawde and other leaders including Subhash Desai (Shiv Sena), Davendra Fadanvis (BJP), Bala Nandgaonkar (MNS) and Ganpatrao Deshmukh (PWP) were present.
