Maha: executive engineer arrested while taking bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested an executive engineer of Small Scale Irrigation and Water Conservation Department while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs one lakh from a contractor at Jalana in Maharashtra.
Dhananjay Jeevandhar Kondekar (45) was trapped while taking bribe at his office in Jalana by Aurangabad Unit of ACB, an official said here.
Kondekar had demanded the bribe from the complainant, who was carrying out work of an irrigation bund, to extend the contract, ACB said. Further probe was on.
