Khot visited Thar and Wanjar-Umad village in Jalna taluka to inspect the crops damaged in recent hailstorm. He also visited kin of a farmer who had died in a hailstorm-related incident.
Sanghatna's Jalna district president Sainath Chinadore claimed that Khot actually came to attend a marriage ceremony and not to console the family of the deceased.
"We showed black flags to him," he said.
Due to protests, Khot returned to the government guest house.
Notably, Khot was expelled from Raju Shetti-led SSS for continuing to be a minister despite the party walking out of the NDA.
