A service pistol, 10 bullets and gold jewellery were stolen from the house of police sub- inspector in Akola in Maharashtra, an official said Sunday.
Sub-inspector Rajesh Joshi of Old City police station here was out on vacation with his family when thieves broke into his house in Geetanagar locality, Inspector Prakash Pawar said.
"The theft came to light Sunday afternoon after Joshi returned from vacation. A 9mm pistol, 10 bullets and gold jewellery have gone missing," Pawar said.
A case of house-breaking theft has been registered, he added.
