"We have a vast area in the centre of the race course which is not used for racing and we can have any sporting activity like cricket or football matches or training camps," said K N Dhunjeeboy, Chairman of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), which is in-charge of the race course.
"Schools and colleges in the city are welcome to conduct their activities here and we will ensure that they will go smoothly, without interfering with the racing calendar," he said, adding that the RWITC is already working on a plan to set up a zoo and amphitheatre on the premises.
