Maharashtra CM begins China tour

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis who reached China on a five-day visit today met representatives of leading Chinese electronic manufacturer Foxconn.
"Visited the leading electronic manufacturer Foxconn, had good meeting with the founder Terry Gou and his team," Fadnavis tweeted.
"Very happy to know from Terry that Foxconn is keen to invest in Maharashtra for data centres, mobile phones, tablets, television,etc.
"A detailed plan on proposed investments in Maharashtra for 2015-2017, too was presented by Foxconn. Had a great discussion on it," the Chief Minister further tweeted.
Fadnavis reached China this morning and was welcomed by Foxconn Team and Chinese Consul General at Chengdu.
He travelled from Chengdu to Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province.
The Chief Minister said he was touched by the warm welcome from Governor Xie Fuzhan and his Governing Council.
"Had a good meeting with Governor of Henan Province Mr Xie Fuzhan; discussed on more collaboration at State & City level.
"We also spoke about similarities between Maharashtra & Henan Province& how we can replicate the airport led development model in Maharashtra.
"Governor Xie Fuzhan is keen on developing cultural & business relations. I invited him to our State with the Chinese business delegation, Fadnavis said in series of tweets.
"After the successful meetings, visits and learnings, heading towards Beijing from Zhengzhou," he further tweeted.
