Mahavitaran appoints director of operations

State-owned electricity distribution company Mahavitaran has appointed Abhijeet Deshpande as its director (operations), according to official sources.
According to an official Mahavitaran release issued here today, Abhijeet Deshpande who was the company's executive director (commercial), has been appointed as director (operations) through a process of direct recruitment.
Deshpande who joined the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) in 1997 as its executive engineer, is also a part-time director of the Uttar Haryana Power Distribution Company.
He is considered a commercial and regulatory policy expert in the power sector.

Sethi named Channel Head by Dell

* Dell India today said it has named Anil Sethi as the new Channel Head responsible for driving strategy, building and scaling its indirect business.

Sethi will be instrumental in strengthening and building Dell's existing and new channel partnerships, expanding market reach and developing a strong solution providers' network that will engage across entire spectrum of Dell products & offerings in end user computing devices, storage, servers, networking, software and services, Dell said in a release.
It said Sethi takes over from Ajay Kaul, who will continue as Dell's Geo-Head, North.
