"In conversation with my favourite #co-star and friend #Rajnikant from Baasha met him today was so nice to catch up wth him in various issues," she tweeted.
She also posted several pictures of her meeting with him and retweeted tweets like a "Baasha reunion."
Describing Rajinikanth as a friend, she told reporters that the meeting had nothing to do with 'Mahila Congress.'
To a question, she said many people have huge expectations from Rajinikanth and added that "if he comes politics he will be very successful and he will be very good."
The Rajinikanth-Nagma starrer 'Baasha' was a blockbuster in Tamil that released in 1995.
Directed by Suresh Krissna, several dialogues and punch lines are quite popular like "Naan Oru Thadavai Sonna nooru thadavai sonna mathiri" (If I utter words once, it is equivalent to a hundred times).
A digitally remastered version of the film was released early this year.
In March, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor had visited Rajinikanth at his residence.
