Main accused in Malda assault case surrenders

The main accused in the assault of officials of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) surrendered to police today.
Biswajit Ray, who was a Trinamool Congress leader, surrendered to the Englishbazar police station this morning, police said.
WBSEDCL Divisional Manager of Malda Saibal Mazumdar has filed a complaint of assault of officials on Friday.
Following the incident, Ray was suspended from the Trinamool Congress for six years on Saturday.
