Maize, bajra weaken on reduced offtake; barley up

Prices of maize and bajra fell up to Rs 15 per quintal at the wholesale market today on reduced offtake by consuming industries.
However, barley moved up on increased demand.
Traders said apart from reduced offtake by consuming industries, adequate stocks position mainly led to the fall in maize and bajra prices.
In the national capital, maize and bajra fell by Rs 15 and Rs 10 to Rs 1,215-1,225 and Rs 1,210-1,215 per quintal, respectively.
On the other hand, barley rose by Rs 15 to Rs to Rs 1,415-1,420 per quintal.
