Major police reshuffle in Bihar

Bihar government today effected a major reshuffle in police department affecting 18 IPS officials.
Kumar Rajesh Chandra, an Additional Director General of Police (ADG) in charge of Police Modernisation, State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB) and Technical Services has been shifted with charge of Police Modernisation and SCRB, a notification issued by the Additional Secretary (Home) Kaushalendra Pathak said.
The Additional Director General of Police (ADG)-cum-Bihar Police Building Construction Corporation (BPBCC) Managing Director Sunil Kumar, who held additional charge of the ADG (Special Branch), has been transferred and made ADG (Headquarters) with additional charge of of the ADG (Special Branch).
Gupteshwar Pandey, the outgoing ADG (Headquarters) has been shifted in the same rank with charge of Wireless and Technical Services, while Arvind Pandey, who held the charge as the ADG (Weaker Section) with additional charge of ADG (Bihar State Sports Authority) has been posted as the ADG (Bihar State Sports Authority).

Alok Raj, posted as the Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Law and Order, has been given additional charge of the ADG (Crime Investigation Department).
The Inspector General of Police (IG), Bihar Military Police, Preeta Verma has been transferred and made the IG, Weaker Section and CID with additional charge of the IG (National Crime Record Bureau), while Amrendra Kumar Ambedkar has been removed as the IG, Patna Range, and made the IG, Training.

Jitendra Kumar, the IG, Special Vigilance Unit with additional charge as the IG, NCRB, has been transferred and made the Special Secretary (Home) (Special), while Kundan Krishnan, who was the IG, ATS, with additional charge as the IG (Headquarters), IG (Legal matters and Administration), IG (Security) has been shifted and made the IG, Patna Range with additional charge as the IG(ATS).

Amit Kumar, who held the charge as the IG, Training, has been transferred and made the IG, Railway, while Paresh Saxena, who was the Special Secretary (Home) (Special) has been shifted and made the IG, Homeguard and Fire Services.
A S Nilekar Chandra, who is the IG in charge of Vigilance Investigation Bureau with additional charge of Wireless and Technical Services will hold additional charge as the IG, Special Vigilance Unit, while Sunil Kumar has been removed as the IG (Budget, Appeal and Welfare) and made the IG (Headquarters).
