Major police reshuffle in C'garh

In a major reshuffle in Chhattisgarh police department ahead of Assembly polls, 127 police officers, including 22 Indian Police Service (IPS) and 105 state police service cadres, have been shifted.
"The directive in this regard has been released from Mantralaya late last night," an official release said today.
Pawan Deo, Inspector General (IG) rail, telecommunication and training has been made Director of Chhattisgarh Public Prosecution. He will replace Rajkumar Dewangan, who has been posted as IG, law and order police headquarters (PHQ).
IG Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) and naxal operations M S Tomar has been relieved from the charge of armed forces while another IG CAF, SRP Kalluri was given additional charge of naxal operations.

IG (CID) Himanshu Gupta was given additional charge of IG telecom, while DIG jail BPS Maurya will be DIG intelligence PHQ and AIG (selection/adm) Ankit Garg will be commandant 2nd battalion CAF, Bilaspur.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Bilaspur Ratanlal Dangi will be SP, Korba and he will be succeeded by SP Korba BP Meena.

SP (STF), Baghera, Durg Abhishek Pathak will replace SP Gariaband Ramgopal Garg, who will be SP Koriya. Similarly SP ACB/ EOW Jitendra Singh Meena will replace SP Jashpur Manish Sharma who will be SP rail Raipur with additional charged of AIG, PHQ.
SP Mahasamund Neethu Kamal will be new AIG, PHQ while Comm 5th battalion CAF Jagdalpur DK Jha will take her charge.

Chief Security Officer Mantralaya Raipur SC Dwivedi will be SP Mungeli; AIG CID, HR Manhar will be Comm 14th battalion CAF, Dallirajhra; SP Koriya RS Nayak will be SP Kabirdham; SP state police academy Chandkhuri SK Brahme will be Comm 5th battalion CAF Jagdalpur. SP Police Training School Rajnandgaon Milna Kurre will be SP PTS Mana Raipur.
However, two probationer IPS officials of 2011 batch, Indira Kalyani Alesela and Santosh Kumar Singh were posted as CSP Azad Chowk (Raipur) and SP (City) Durg, respectively.
Besides, some other officers including ASPs, DSPs, city SPs and sub divisional officers of police have also been shifted from their current postings.
