"Our government's thrust is on renewable energy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it amply clear that there will be no development by compromising the environment and we have to ensure a clean plant," Goyal, who is the Minister of State for Power, Coal and Renewable Energy, said
He was speaking to reporters after the conclusion of the two-day Conference of Power, Renewable Energy and Mines.
In the last ten months of the NDA government, the country has achieved the highest power generation of 22,500 MW and a record expansion of 22,700 circuit km of transmission lines and recorded the lowest energy shortage of 3.6 per cent, he said.
"The government believes in action and outcome. We have gone far beyond signing Memorandum of Understandings and we have not talked about something that cannot be achieved," Goyal said.
