"We have suggested RBI to make the website available in vernacular languages so that people of various regions could take maximum benefit out of it," Odisha's Development Commissioner Balakrishnan said.
Balakrishnan said this after participating in the video conference marking inauguration of the portal 'Sachet' by RBI governor Raghuram Rajan today.
Odisha Chief Secretary A P Padhi and Special DG Crime BK Sharma also took part in the inauguration function through a video conferencing.
People will get the space to lodge complaints and share information regarding illegal collection of deposits by unscrupulous entities in their areas.
"Odisha has taken up a number of awareness building and enforcement activities to curb illegal money collection. All districts have been provided Rs 1 lakh each for intensifying awareness activities at village and panchayat levels," Balakrishnan said.
