Malala Yousafzai inspires Meryl Streep

Veteran actress Meryl Streep says she is inpsired by Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai.
The multiple Oscar-winner will be seen playing the role of Emmeline Pankhurst, the leader of British suffragette movement in "Suffragette".
When asked what inspired her, Streep told Time Out, "Malala Yousafzai and her classmates in Pakistan."
In reply to a question whether she was a feminist, the 66-year-old actress said, "I am a humanist, I am for nice easy balance."
Streep, however, feels men should find it abnormal if there is not enough women representation.
"Men should look at the world as if something is wrong when their voices predominate. They should feel it. People at agencies and studios, including the parent boards, might look around the table at the decision-making level and feel something is wrong if half their participants are not women. Because our tastes are different, what we value is different. Not better, different," she said.

The actress, considered one of the most formidable stars in Hollywood, however, had an interesting answer when asked whether she felt angry to know that she gets paid less than male colleagues.
"Oh darlin', why ever would you imagine that?," Streep said.
