Malayalam movies, 'Vrithakrithyilulla Chathuram' and 'Jetlikkettu' have been selected to the International Competition section of the 24th International Film Festival of Kerala to be held in December.
'Aani Maani' (Hindi) directed by Fahim lrshad and 'Lihaafi The Quilt' (Hindi) by Rahat Kazami from Indian Cinema have also been selected to the International Competition section of the IFFK to be held here from December 6 to 12 this year at Thiruvananthapuram.
The festival is being organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.
'Vrithakrithyilulla Chathuram' is directed by Krishand R K and 'Jetlikkettu' by Lijo Jose Pellissery.
The academy has selected seven movies in the Indian Cinema Now section including 'Anandi Gopal', 'Axone' and 'Mai Ghat: Crime No 103/2005'.
The Indian Cinema Now section will also feature 'Hellaro', 'Market / lewduh', 'The Funeral' and 'Without Strings'.
The films were selected by a committee consisting of P T Kunhu Muhammed (chairman), M C Raja Narayanan, Pradeep Chokli, Sajitha Madathil and Sidhartha Siva.
Fourteen films have been chosen to the Malayalam Cinema Today section of which six are by debut directors, the academy said.
