Malaysian plane's co-pilot dies during flight

Plane makes emergency return to Hat Yai Airport, all 152 on board safe

A co-pilot of an Indonesian budget airline collapsed soon after the flight with 152 passengers took off from a Thai airport today.

After the incident, the Lion Air flight SL 8537 made an emergency return to Hat Yai Airport and the co-pilot, a Dutch national, was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, The Nation reported.

The flight had 152 passengers on board and all were safe.
