"It has been reported in the media that during a public meeting today in New Delhi, Mamata Banerjee has launched a virulent and unverified attack on the CPI(M) and other parties claiming that the parties were hatching a conspiracy to harm or even kill her," Bose said in a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner.
"Such kind of statement is a deliberate attempt to vitiate the pre-poll environment in West Bengal where the law and order situation is already charged by the violent speeches and activities of AITC leaders and workers," Bose said.
The rally at the Ramlila ground was billed to be a platform to launch Banerjee's national ambitions with Hazare on the dais, but turned out to be just a Trinamool Congress affair.
