A man has been arrested for alleged sexual assault on minor children of a Gurukul run by ISKCON here, police said today.
"Devashish, a regular visitor to ISKCON was arrested yesterday for sexually assaulting children from 8 to 12 years of Bhakti Vedant International Gurukul while luring them with toffees and biscuits," they said.
The accused used to take the victims on car rides and thrashed them when the children opposed his attempts of abusing them, police said.
Devashish has been booked under the POSCO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act) after the complaint filed by the Principal of the Gurukul, they added.
