Man arrested for murder, extortion

A 31-year-old man allegedly wanted in several crime cases including murder, extortion, robbery and others has been arrested.
The accused identified as Sohanbir alias Sonu is a resident of Sankalputthi village in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh.
"He was carrying a reward of Rs 25,000 by UP police in an extortion case and Haryana Police in connection with murder of Dilbagh Bagga," police said.
Sonu was arrested on Friday after a tip off that he would come near flyover Gokalpuri to meet his associates.
On this information, a team of police officers laid trap near flyover of Road Yamuna Vihar and he was nabbed after a long hide and seek.

A country made pistol with one spare magazine and 10 cartridges were recovered and a case under section 25 of the Arms Act was registered against him at Special Cell police station, police said.
