Gullu, was killed by the members of Khurvesh Pehalwan gang, allegedly on the instruction of one Rahul Tyagi. His body was burnt by the assailants in an attempt to destroy evidence.
"On January 6, a team of Crime Branch, central range, arrested one of the accused Dharmendra (31), who was staying in Jehangirpuri while working as a sweeper employed by a private contractor," Ravindra Yadav, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) said.
During interrogation, Dharmendra admitted that he along with his accomplices, Billu, Sonu, Surender Dhaka and Sachin killed Gullu Jat in the forest area of Jawli in Ghaziabad and burnt the body to destroy evidence, the officer said.
