Man arrested for poisoning wife to death over dowry

A man has been arrested for allegedly poisoning his wife to death over dowry a year ago at Tisang village here, police said today.
Naushad was arrested yesterday after his wife's body was exhumed and the forensic reports revealed presence of poison in the viscera sample of his deceased wife, they said.
A complaint was filed in the case by the brother of the victim who alleged that his sister, Afsana was poisoned by the accused a year ago, for not bringing enough dowry, police said.
The brother also alleged that the body was buried by the accused without informing the parents of the victim, they said.
A case had been registered in the matter before, police said.
