The 29-year-old man identified as Roshan Lal, a resident of Mahendergarh district and presently living in Uttam Nagar colony here, was arrested yesterday, they said.
He intruded into the rented accommodation of the victim on the night of February 4 when she was alone and allegedly raped her. He also threatened her of dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone, police said.
Following the woman's complaint yesterday, a case of rape and criminal intimidation was registered against the accused, police said, adding that the woman's medical examination was conducted at the local civil hospital last evening.
