On a tip-off, Mahesh Gupta (24), a resident of Jagouli in Maharajganj district was arrested with the contraband yesterday, SSB Commandant, B K Bankothi said.
During investigation, the accused revealed that the consignment of smack was recently smuggled from Nepal for sale in the local market, Bankothi said.
The contraband is stated to be worth over Rs 42 lakh in the international market.
