Man arrested while trying to smuggle 612 tortoises

Acting on a tip-off, the accused Harjit Singh was arrested along with 612 tortoises while he was trying to board some train, they said.

Further investigation are on into the case.

Possession of tortoises is prohibited under the Wildlife Act.
