Acting on a specific input, the man was yesterday intercepted and two kg of poppy straw recovered from his possession near Simbal Morh area of Mira Sahib, a police officer said.
The accused has been identified as Kulbir Singh, a resident of Simbal Morh, he said.
A case has been registered against him, the Officer said, adding that further investigation is on in this connection.
