The man has been identified as Kapil Grover, a resident of Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. Grover jumped from platform number-2 of Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar metro station in east Delhi around 6.30 pm today, a senior Delhi Police official said.
The officer said that the man had received injury on his head and elbow after being hit by a train running between Jahangirpuri and Huda City Centre in the the Yellow line.
"As the metro train was to take a halt, the victim did not receive serious injury. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him out of danger," the official added.
