The incident occurred on August 3 when the accused Ranveer, a resident of same village, attempted to rape the girl after taking her to his home on the pretext of some work, they said.
The girl raised an alarm on which some neighbours gathered and the accused fled from spot after threatening to kill her, SHO of Raja Ka Rampur police station, Devendra Shankar Pandey said.
Yesterday, an FIR has been registered against the accused, the SHO said, adding the matter is being investigated.
