Man booked for raping woman on pretext of marriage

A man has been booked for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marrying her, police said here today.
The accused was identified as Balkar Singh, a resident of nearby village Mehdoodan, police said.
In her complaint, the victim has alleged that the accused had been raping her for past one year on the promise that he would marry her.
The victim has alleged that she found out last week that Balkar was already married.
A rape case was lodged against the accused but no arrest has been made so far, police said.
