Man carrying explosive device injured after explosion

A man, who was allegedly planning to kill a person with an explosive device, was injured after the device exploded, in Sindurpankh area near here, police said.
The man, identified as 30-year-old Deepak Mirdha has been admitted to the hospital with critical burn injuries, Sub divisional police officer B G Mohanty said.
"Deepak was planning to kill Pritish, who had borrowed money from him. Even after two years, Pritish was not returning back the amount following which Deepak decided to eliminate him," Mohanty said.
"It was then that the accused prepared a crude bomb. However, the device went off accidentally," the officer said, adding the investigation is underway.
