Man crushed to death over monetary dispute

A 35-year-old Dalit was allegedly crushed under a loader over a monetary dispute in Satrik area here, a senior officer said.
Sohanlal, a resident of Chedanagar village, had a dispute with contractor Vinod Kumar over the issue of payment for digging mud from his field, Superintendent of Police (SP) Syed Wasim Ahmad said.
Vinod called Sohanlal to the field last night to settle the issue, he said, adding a heated verbal argument broke out between the two.
During the argument, loader driver identified as Dilip crushed Sohanlal under the vehicle, the police official said.
A case has been registered against Dilip and the matter is being probed, Ahmad said.

According to sources, Sohanlal had demanded a payment of Rs 60,000 for the digging of mud from his 10 bheega land, which was turned down by the contractor.
