Man dies under mysterious circumstances near Jaisalmer

A 48-year-old man has died at Tekra village in the district allegedly after consuming some poisonous substance, police said today.
The deceased was identified as Kaluram and prima facie he had taken some poison-laced liquid and fell unconscious yesterday, they said, adding he was referred to Jodhpur's government hospital but he succumbed in the ambulance.
Police is investigating, if the man had committed suicide or consumed the poison-laced liquid by mistake, they said.
Body was handed over to his family after postmortem, they added.
