A 27-year-old man, who was displaced during the Muzaffarnagar riots, is missing since June 27 in Shahpur village here, police said today.
Shehzad, who works as a labourer, was displaced from Kakra village and rehabilitated in Shahpur village during riots in 2013, they said.
The man had went to work in Kakra village on June 27 and did not return home, the police said.
The irate family members of Shehzad yesterday staged a protest demanding that he should be traced soon, they said.
A missing report has been lodged in the matter and efforts are underway to trace him, the police said.
The communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar and adjoining areas in August and September 2013 had claimed more than 60 lives while over 40,000 people were displaced.
