Durga Lal Bheel, a daily wage labourer and a resident of Asnawar village, had gone to attend the cremation of his neighbour. While returning, he, along with other persons who attended the funeral, were taking a bath at the pond, Heera Lal, circle in-charge of Jhalrapatan Police Station, said.
According to an eyewitness, Bheel took a dive into the pond from a height but did not come out. The body was fished out with the help of locals, the official said.
