A man got electrocuted when he came in contact with a high-tension wire at Budhana town here, police said today.
The incident took place last evening when the man, identified as Nathuram, an electrician by profession, was connecting a wire from an electricity pole to a tubewell, they said.
Angry over the incident, about 50 locals blocked the Budhana-Muzaffarnagar road for some time and demanded action against the farmer Monu, who had hired the electrician, police said.
Later, the vehicular movement resumed after police pacified the agitated locals, they said.
The body has been sent for postmortem, police added.
