The deceased has been identified as Sameerkumar, an employee of a private company in Kerala. The body, bluish in colour, was found near a water tank in the 'dhabha' used by truck crew to take bath and wash their vehicles, they said.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Sameerkumar had boarded a train to Kerala on January 27 to return to work after a visit to his native place.
However, it was not known how he came to Kumarapalayam.
The body has been shifted to Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College hospital in neighbouring Salem and police are awaiting the arrival of his family members for further action.
