According to the judgement pronounced yesterday, special judge Ravindra Singh sentenced Panna Lal of Nagla Sewa village to life imprisonment for kidnapping Vikram Singh of the same village.
Vikram's uncle Man Singh had on June 11, 2002 filed an FIR in this connection.
Man Singh had said in the FIR that his nephew was kidnapped from a playground over some personal enmity he had with Panna Lal, the judgement said.
According to the details of the judgement, Panna Lal and his two accomplice -- Rajesh and Viresh of the same village -- kidnapped Vikram and took him away in a hired auto-rickshaw with the "intention of murder".
While Rajesh and Viresh died during the course of trial, Panna Lal was sentenced to life imprisonment.
