The judge of the fast track court Manoj Mishra also imposed a fine of Rs 12,000 on convict AmrishKumar holding him guilty under relevant sections of IPC and Excise Act.
According to government lawyer Naresh Sharma, a team of excise department intercepted Amrish Kumar and recovered 25 litres of spurious liquor at Shukartal village under Bhopa police station in the district on November 1, 2009.
The recovered liquor was found dangerous for human consumption.
Amrish was booked under sections 272 (adulteration of food or drink intended for sale) and 273 (sale or offer of sale of noxious food or drink) of IPC and a relevant section of Excise Act.
