Superintendent of Police Parvez Akhtar said accused Kamlesh Chaudhary fired thrice from a pistol at his wife Rekha Devi (40) while they were travelling in a train near Gadhani Halt under Charpokhri police station in Bhojpur district.
The incident occurred when she was going home from a family court at Ara where she deposed against him in case of harassment that she had filed earlier.
The accused fled after shooting his wife to death, Akhtar said.
