A 30-year-old Thane resident was arrested Tuesday night for allegedly molesting his woman colleague, a hair dresser, on two occasions, the police said Wednesday.
The victim (30) works in a beauty saloon located on Ghodbunder Road, an official said.
According to police, the accused Hemant Sonawane, allegedly molested the woman when she was travelling in an autorickshaw last month.
He later apologised to her, following which the woman kept mum, the official said.
However, Sonawane continued making sexual advances towards the woman in the office and groped her again while she was travelling in an autorickshaw on December 6, he said, adding that the accused pushed her to the ground when she tried to resist his advances.
A case has been registered against Sonawane in Kasarvedawli police station, the officer said.
