Rajesh alias Raju was arrested from Karnal following a tip-off, according to police.
"In her complaint, the 40-year-old victim alleged that around one month ago, Rajesh offered her cold drink laced with sedatives after which she fell unconscious. When she regained consciousness, she found herself in a room in Karnal where Rajesh raped her and beat her up.
"She somehow escaped from his clutches and reached Delhi where she lodged an FIR," said a police official.
An FIR was registered around a month back but Rajesh was absconding after the incident and was nabbed today, police said.
