Police Inspector Sandeep Shivle of Arnala police station said that in her complaint, the girl said that her step-father repeatedly subjected her to rape between 2004 and 2014 and threatened to kill her if she revealed it to anyone.
"Fed up with the constant sexual harassment by him and her mother's failure to take steps to end her suffering, the girl approached police last evening and narrated her ordeal," Shivle said.
Police registered a case in this regard and immediately arrested the accused late last night.
Police have booked the accused under sections of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
Further investigation into the case is on.
