Man held for selling firecrackers post SC ban

A 59-year-old man was today apprehended for allegedly selling firecrackers despite the Supreme Court ban on sale of fireworks till November 1, the police said.
Police seized 170 kilogram of firecrackers worth Rs two lakh from him, they added.
Vipin, a resident of Shahdara in east Delhi, was found selling firecrackers secretly to people, the police said.
A case has been registered and further probe in underway, they said.
Following the ban, the Delhi Police has seized over 1,200 kilogram of firecrackers.
