"We are investigating the case and have arrested one Niaz Ahmed who fired several rounds on Shiraz Ahmed of Allapur area in the district last evening," a senior police officer said.
He said Shiraz Ahmed had a narrow escape as he ducked the bullets and ran away from the spot. The officer said that the motive behind the attack was not known as the police was investigating the case.
"We have filed the case and have started investigations to find out the motive behind the attack," he said.
