Robin, 27, was caught by a police team while he was trying to sell the BMW which had been stolen from Noida yesterday.
The customer of the stolen vehicle, Mohit Saini, managed to escape, said Pushpendra Kumar, DCP (West).
Besides the BMW, a Fortuner SUV has also been recovered at the instance of Robin. An Audi car stolen by him from Noida which later met with an accident was also traced, he said.
Robin is a notorious interstate car thief whose gang is said to be active in Delhi and neighbouring areas, Kumar said.
The accused used to sell the stolen vehicles to one Nawab, a resident of Uttarakhand, the officer added.
