Man injured as country bomb explodes

A 38-year-old man was today injured when a country bomb exploded while he was clearing shrubs in his agriculture land in Iritty in the district. Police said the man was identified as M K Abdul Rasaq, a native of Palappuzha nearby Iritty.
The bomb exploded when he was clearing the land using some electronic equipment, they said.
He was first rushed to the nearby taluk hospital and then to the AKG Hospital here.
Rasaq suffered injuries on his face, hands and body and his condition is stable as of now, police added.
